Automation

The aim of automation is to achieve, by means of a series of control devices, better supervision and understanding of process behaviour, optimisation of process parameters and, from there, lower consumptions and higher safety of operation.

The system is based on the automatic survey of process parameters by integrated loops, digestion of the relevant data by a programmable controller and action on the required functions allowing the adjustment of process parameters.

Protom® Concept
Our Protom® concept is based on the practice acquired by our services, it has greatly assisted us in analysing in depth the diversity of demand and to define, for each activity, all the parameters it is suitable to implement.

This experience authorizes us to offer strictly individual networks.

Moreover, all our systems are expandable and easy to modulate from the first day of their installation.



Prosup" supervision
Our Prosup® centralised supervision concept is another tool that helps to permanently follow production.

The method, using selected softwares, continually offers an overall view of the ongoing activities and of their historical account controls, etc.

Easy to analyse, these reports are the undeniable witnesses of the complete activity of a process.

Central supervision is the ultimate management tool that leaves no data unattended.



Utilities

Desmet Ballestra has a large experience in supplying utilities, necessary for the core process units.

Many customers wants to maximise the efficiency of the plant by asking Desmet Ballestra to take the responsibility of the selection and/or supply of all other utilities like:

We have over recent years felt the need to revise our very concept of service in order to be in a position to respond to our customers’ requirements in the most efficient manner.
The obvious solution was the computer. We therefore worked out a scheme which, after fine tuning, now presents several major advantages :

We now have in our records immediate access to well over 300,000 spare parts, with clear details relating to all data in connection with each of these parts.

We master cost prices, as our proprietary software enables us to operate on a fully systematic basis.
We automatically analyse and regularly update projected orders.
We have automated accounting procedures.

We register, on a daily basis, all movements, file by file.
All these facilities definitely helps us reduce cost prices, because we can now order specific quantities, without adversely affecting stock rotation and its inherent expenses.
Desmet Ballestra service is always close to your plant

Emergency parts are always available « off-the-shelf » and are automatically re-ordered through the computer warning system.

We have our own in-house delivery service, guaranteeing the immediate dispatch of your parts by the most appropriate means of transport (air, courier,etc…)

Each delivery is monitored from here to your plant and we always tell you where it is at any moment.



We also maintain very close relationship with our sub-contractors, with a view to satisfying your requirements in a minimum of time.

The quality of our parts and components is strictly guaranteed, because our parts are certified to original quality standards.

All parts reach you direct, without any intermediate delay via our international network.

Finally, we are ready to assist you in organising your own parts department within your plant, if such a need is felt to guarantee absolute trouble free operation.
